Hello in Korean

Let's start with the most basic greeting: "Hello." In Korean, there are a few ways to say "hello," depending on the level of formality. For now, we will learn the most common way. The most common way to say hello is:

안녕하세요 is used in most situations. It is polite and can be used when greeting strangers, acquaintances, or people older than you.

Saying Goodbye

Just like "hello," there are different ways to say goodbye. The most common way to say goodbye is:

안녕히 계세요 is used when you are leaving and the other person is staying. If you are staying and the other person is leaving, you would say:

Introducing Yourself

Now let's learn how to introduce yourself. The basic way to say "I am..." is:
